Abuela Tica on Her Birthday!

We were so excited to take Avery's teacher, Sonia, our for some lunch on her birthday. She calls herself Avery's "Tica grandma" because Avery loves her so much that she won't go to any of the other teachers. This last trimester at school Sonia only had Avery and Titus to play with. She did also have a 6 month old but he literally slept the entire time. She said that it was her favorite and most memorable time with Avery and Titus.
This is Cooper and Cohen (big brother of Titus) pretending to be Batman or SpiderMan or something..... with their napkins around their neck.
While we were eating it starting pouring down rain. The kids thought it was the perfect opportunity to go and play in the puddles.

This is Sonia with Avery and Titus. Some of the Ticos thought that Avery and Titus were twins because they were the same exact size and both lighter hair and darker skin but instead they were just the perfect couple.
Sonia  was such a blessing to us. She is planning on retiring in December and said that she is also going to try to visit us sometime next year. We are so thrilled and would love to see her again.
Please pray for Sonia and her family. She takes care of her mom who lives right next to her. Also pray that her retirement papers will come in so she can retire in December. She wanted to retire in August since Avery and Titus were leaving but her papers didn't come in time. And please pray that she will have the chance to come her and visit us in Mexico!

Prayers are Needed.......

Oh how we love our Wild Man Coop!
But we are just asking for prayer. He is going through a really horrible stage of just not wanting to obey or listen at all. It is so hard and frustrating. I feel like we are constantly getting on him. Please just pray that Cooper will get an obedient heart and that the Lord will just give us patience with this time. We know everything he does know that Avery is always watching and really want to put a stop to it now. So please pray for us to not only have patience but wisdom. Also if you all have any encouraging words they are very well needed.
Here are a few cute pics of our boy because he is a huge blessing from the Lord to us!

Thank you all for your time and prayers and any encouragement you can give!

We Are Here!

We are here in Mexico and finally have internet after two weeks! We had a wonderful trip coming here. We definitely felt all the prayers and the Lord's hand through it all. When we arrived in Guadalajara we did not have to go through any customs. They did not check any of our bags nor did they even stamp our passports. I know, pretty crazy! We had to men helping us pushing all of our crates as well as Darin pushing one and me pushing a stroller with bags in the stroller, Cooper sitting on top of the stroller and me carrying Avery in the sling. When we came out of the sliding doors and seeing David and Bowden Haynes waving at us we were so surprised. We thought that surely someone was chasing us down to rip open one of our bags. But NO, that was it. We were there! It was so amazing. So thank you so much for your prayers.

Cooper has started school and seems to really be enjoying it. He is the only little white boy and then on top of that they called him by his middle name the entire first day of school. We usually say "Cooper Ross" when he is in trouble so I hope he didn't think he was in trouble all day at school hearing "Ross" but he seemed alright with it.

We have a very nice house! It is a three bedroom, two story house. We have a skylight on the steps. The first night we were here we were greeted with the other team members and they fixed us supper. It was so sweet and tasted incredible. Well it started to pour and the team members were rushing out because the roads flood so easy. Well I was upstairs with the kids and starting to come down the steps holding Avery and Cooper walking in front of me. Then I fell! Yep, our skylight had a leak. There isn't a light on our steps so I couldn't see the big puddle on one of the steps. Well me and Avery went down about three steps, but thankfully she didn't get hurt at all. She was just very scared! Then I saw the look on Cooper's face and tears in his eyes because he was scared of what happened. Then it made me sad! So there was me, Cooper and Avery all sitting in the hall just crying! Darin wasn't sure what to think when he came out of the bathroom. Thank the Lord though Matt (one of the team members) came over and helped us fix the leak and it is all better now.

Only thing that has happened then is Avery bumping her head into a stair, leaning her head into a table corner and then running into a wall. Not much we can fix there except maybe getting her glasses though!

We are all doing very well and just wanted to give you a little update on Mexico. The Lord has blessed us with the Haynes family! They are just amazing. Also have been blessed with great team members. We are so excited to see what the Lord holds for us here in Guadalajara.

I will post pictures soon but please remember that I was behind and now even more behind so the pictures will be from June! But will try to catch up fast to get some from here in Mexico. So be sure to check back possible daily, alright, maybe every other day for some updates so I can get caught up.

Thanks for the prayers and we miss everyone of you!

Our "Lil Tica" on Cultural Day

At school they had a cultural day where we played games and got to win prizes. Avery had the perfect chance to wear her little Costa Rican Outfit!
We thought she looked absolutely adorable. Cooper even thought that she looked cute.

We are a little behind on pictures so this was a month or so ago. But I had to show you our little princess in her tica outfit.

Avery Praising the Lord

Avery was watching FBC Powell being streamed online and she started lifting her hands in prayer to the music. At the end of the video, she puts her head down as though she is bowing and praying. It was sweet to see and we pray the day all our children might know Christ Jesus as their Savior!
